Challenges
- The client wasn’t equipped with the right technology to capture employee attendance with real-time geo-tracking.
- Employee onboarding involved a 10 pages long physical form that had to be filled out manually. It was an inconvenience for the new hires and hampered onboarding experience.
- Salary calculation was being done on spreadsheets. The process was prone to errors, time consuming, and had too many dependencies.
The Implementation
- We took the employee data of the client in a predefined format to feed it into the platform.
- We also understood the client’s HR policies for in-time, out-time, leaves, expenses, etc and configured the system accordingly.
- After the configuration, the client conducted the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a week.
- Finally, we took the client live after a successful UAT.
Key Results
- The client’s ability to hire new employees increased from 2-3 per month to 10-15 per month.
- From 10 page documents, the onboarding process now requires zero paperwork.
- Payroll processing reduced from a 4-day long process to a 1-day process.
- The HCM platform started providing a bird-eye view of most of the HR processes in various graphical and tabular formats.
- Preparation of HR reports is now an automated process.
